Operation Christmas Child

Each year our congregation participates in Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.  Operation Christmas Child enlists hundreds of churches across America to collect toys, school supplies, hygiene items, etc.  These items are packed in shoeboxes or small plastic containers and distributed to thousands of children around the world at Christmas time.  Along with the gift boxes, the children are presented with the story of Jesus and how they can begin and develop a relationship with him.

Items we are currently collecting are:  Plastic boxes (shoe box size), undergarments for boys and girls (size 2-16), soap bars, washcloths, toothpaste and brushes, combs and hair bows, hair clips and bands, school supplies, pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons or markers, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring books, small toys appropriate for ages 2-14, small cars, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, slinky, wrapped candies, etc.  (Please no guns, toy soldiers or chocolate).

Items can be dropped off at the church.  Please watch our online newsletter or call the church office for the drop off deadline.
