Stacy Bare
Lead PAstor
Hi, I'm Stacy Bare, and Olney Free Methodist Church has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in this church, so getting to serve here as the lead pastor is something that means a lot to me. It's a place that helped shape my faith, and I never would have imagined that one day God would bring me back to lead the very church where my own story began.
My journey into ministry started with a few years of volunteering at the church. During that time, I began to feel God leading me toward something more, and in 2015, I stepped into pastoral ministry. Since then, I've had the opportunity to serve in several churches as a Children's Pastor and Next Gen Pastor. Those years taught me a lot about ministry, relationships, and the importance of walking alongside people as they grow in their faith. In May of 2026, I was ordained as a Free Methodist Elder and in July of 2026, God brought me back home to Olney Free Methodist Church.
At the heart of it all, ministry has always been about people for me. I love getting to know their stories, walking with them through life's ups and downs, and seeing how God is working in their lives. I believe church should be a place where people feel welcome, where they can be honest about where they are in life, and where they can grow in their relationship with Jesus without feeling like they have to have it all figured out.
When I'm not at church, you'll probably find me with a good book, a cup of coffee, playing pickleball, or spending time outside. I enjoy the simple things and the time spent with people who make life meaningful.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve the church that has been such a big part of my own story. I don't take that responsibility lightly. My hope is that we continue to grow together in faith, love one another well, and find ways to share the love of Jesus with the people around us. After all, we're all still growing, and I think there's something pretty special about being able to do that together.
